Planning for 2013

Our sessions went very well at the 2012 SBL session. I was especially pleased that our open call for papers received such a good response. Both sessions had very good papers and good attendance/discussion. In fact, one of the things we want to keep in mind for next year is how to enhance the opportunities for more constructive discussion, even with open call sessions.

In the meantime, we're well into planning for 2013, and on behalf of the steering committee, I would like to ask for your help in selecting topics for the sessions. Here is the description of the program unit:

This unit, titled The Development of Early Christian Theology, will explore the close connections among the construction of the Christian scriptures, early Christian practices of biblical interpretation, and the theological and ecclesiastical debates that occurred from the apostolic period through the fourth century.

Is there anything that seems particularly important, timely or interesting at the moment that pertains to that general topic? We're open to almost anything, especially if it has to do with the early use of Scripture.

Thanks in advance! If you have any suggestions, send me an email, leave a message at my G+ page, or DM me on Twitter.
